Refund Policy
Last updated 16 August 2026.
The 7-day window on a first order
If your first server with us is not what you expected, tell us within 7 days of it being handed over and we will refund it in full. No form to fill in, no reason required. It applies once per customer, on a first order only.
Outside that window
- Monthly plans: no refund for the remainder of the current month. Cancel and it simply does not renew.
- Annual plans: a pro-rata refund of whole unused months, minus what the used months would have cost at the monthly rate. Paying yearly buys a discount; taking a refund gives that discount back.
- Setup fees are not refundable once the server is built.
When we will refund regardless
- We cannot provision what you ordered — full refund, straight away.
- We got the specification wrong and cannot put it right.
- We change these terms materially and you cancel because of it.
- You were double-charged, or paid an invoice twice.
When we will not
- Termination for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Chargeback-style disputes — there is no chargeback mechanism in bitcoin, which cuts both ways.
- Downtime. That is covered by SLA credits, which are more valuable to you than a BTC refund of a partial month.
How a refund actually works
- Open a ticket asking for it, and give us a bitcoin address to send to.
- We confirm the amount in USD terms and tell you what that is in BTC at the current rate.
- You confirm the address. We check it back with you once — a typo here is unrecoverable.
- We send it, and give you the transaction ID.
Most refunds go out within 2 business days. The network fee for the refund transaction comes out of the refund, as it must — we cannot send bitcoin without paying to send it.
Account credit instead
You can always take a refund as account credit instead. It is held in USD, so it does not move with the bitcoin price, and it comes off your next invoice automatically. If you intend to stay with us, this is almost always the better option.
Overpayments
If you send more bitcoin than an invoice asked for, the excess becomes account credit automatically, valued at the rate you paid. You do not need to ask. If you would rather have it back on-chain, open a ticket and we will send it under the process above.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy removes rights you have under consumer law where you live, including Australian Consumer Law where it applies. If a service is not fit for purpose, those rights stand whatever this page says.
