What you get

A machine, not a sandbox

Every VPSLatch server is a full KVM guest. Not a container, not a shared kernel, not a "virtual environment" with half the syscalls filed off.

The server itself

  • Full root. Your box, your rules, your responsibility.
  • Your own kernel. Load modules, run WireGuard, use nftables properly, run Docker without workarounds.
  • NVMe storage. Not spinning disks with an SSD cache in front and an asterisk in the marketing.
  • Dedicated RAM. Allocated to you and not oversold into a swap storm at 3am.
  • Choice of image. Debian, Ubuntu, Rocky, Alma, Alpine — or bring an ISO.
  • Console access. For when you firewall yourself out, which everyone eventually does.

Network

  • IPv4 included, with reverse DNS you set yourself.
  • IPv6 /64 on request, free.
  • No overage invoices. Go past your transfer allowance and we throttle you and email you. We do not send a surprise bill.
  • No port blocking by default. Outbound 25 is closed until you ask and tell us what you are sending, which is a spam-control measure rather than an upsell.

The billing side

The part most hosting comparison pages skip.

Bitcoin, non-custodial

Fresh address per invoice, rate locked for 60 minutes, no processor in the path. How it works.

Nothing auto-charges

There is no stored payment method to charge. Renewal invoices arrive 10 days early and you pay them deliberately.

Suspension is slow and reversible

We suspend 5 days after an invoice falls due. Your data stays exactly where it is; paying brings it straight back.

An account is an email address

No documents, no phone number, no verification call. We collect what invoicing needs.

Overpayments become credit

Send too much and it lands on your account at the rate you paid, then comes off the next invoice.

Cancel by not paying

No retention flow, no phone call, no "are you sure" five times. Let the invoice lapse.

What we are honest about not having

A features page that only lists strengths is an advertisement. Here is the other column.

Instant provisioningNo. A person builds your server. Expect hours.
Self-service reinstallNot yet. Open a ticket and we do it.
Automated snapshotsNot yet. Ask and we will take one by hand.
Multiple regionsNo. One location today.
Card, PayPal, bank transferNo. Bitcoin only.
LightningNot yet. On-chain only.
24/7 phone supportNo. Tickets, answered by the people who run it.
A decade of uptime historyNo — this operation launched in 2026. Why the name is older than we are.

If any of those are dealbreakers, a larger host will serve you better and we would rather you found that out here than after paying us.
