  The history of VPSLatch: from HostLatch to HostDime and back again

  A managed VPS host that got a lot right, sold at the top in 2011, and then vanished so completely that its own domain ended up serving spam. The whole story, reconstructed from the archives — the $4.46 OpenVZ beginnings, the contrarian bet on managed hosting, the HostDime acquisition notice, life inside DimeNOC, and what we are doing with the name now.

More to come as the platform takes shape — the hypervisor decision, what “managed” is going to mean concretely, and the first of the new how-tos.
